One of the most recognizable athletes in the world is Las Vegan Andre Agassi. His pro-tennis career is over, but his community and charity work continues.

It's been a little more than a month since, Andre Agassi said goodbye to the game and its fans, both of which took him on a magical two decades long journey.

"It's a relationship you can't find the words to express. But its one I was feeling in my bones, and that moment out there was my greatest moment on the tennis court," Agassi says about his last moments on U.S. Open tennis court.

His greatest moment in a career which had too many to list; moments, which have forever been reduced to memories. One wonders how retirement will agree with any revered professional athlete. This one isn't sure just yet.

"You gotta ask me in a few months. At the end of the day, after the U.S. Open I've always shut down. Got ready for this event. So everything feels pretty familiar," he says.

For now he'll remain a familiar face in the community, working as tirelessly on philanthropic endeavors like this school project, as he did on his game.

"This is a great community, but the world experiences us through one lens. We get to appreciate so many other facets. We're so quick to come together. So quick to actually dream something, believe something and make it happen. This is an extension of that," Agassi says.

Basically it's an extension of his life at the baseline, where he spent more than 20 years, believing and making it happen.

Meanwhile, an addition to the Andre Agassi College Prepatory Academy was dedicated Thursday.

The new multi purpose building will host a number of activities - for the school and the community. Thursday's dedication ceremony honored a 12 year partnership between the Agassi Foundation and MGM Mirage.

Agassi was at the event to talk about his Grand Slam for Children concert. Since it started in 1995, the Grand Slam fundraiser has brought in more than $52-million for underprivileged, abused and at risk kids.

This year's 11th All-Star Gala to benefit the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation is being held Saturday, October 7th at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Click here for ticket info.
